Rover 2004

Bert Snow and I received a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to create this mapping device/event for the Coastal Trails Coalition. Volunteers were sent out from this object to digitally photograph the emerging local trail network. Upon return their photos were immediately printed and mounted on the structure. Participants were also encouraged to gather objects found along the trails for display in niches. Rover traveled to four towns in two days. It received an award from the National Park Service in 2008.

Materials: wood, fasteners, glue, corrugated plastic, paint, found objects, clear acrylic sheet, digital photographs printed with Epson ink on card stock.
